Yes it is.......people often times say their vote is not bought but then will go out of their way defending the actions of someone that does the exact opposite of what they said for years they were against.
Our votes won't be bought (the politically aware) your average voter? They vote for who they've heard of saturating a candidate requires large sums of capital. They don't know or care what a PAC is.
We can only control ourselves, others? It would be best if all voices could be heard instead of smaller voices getting flushed in favor of those with substantial financial support.
Please. Soros, the Koch Brothers and the Donald are on the same team. The team of exploitative Billionaires that live in a different world and play by different rules than the rest of us. When the Donald for example, goes bankrupt, stiffing his investors for millions, he keeps his personal fortune. When the rest of go bankrupt we loose everything; usually including our bank and investment accounts as well as our houses and sometimes automobiles. Just that is why it is a good deal to be wealthy. It buys a different and much more forgiving law (see thread about drunk rich killer getting probation instead of jail) than the rest of us.
It is time to install an all sources all income very progressive tax system that excludes 90 to 95% of us from Federal taxes. this would place the cost of running the country on the people that control it. Ideally it would effectively limit fortunes to multi millions instead of billions.
