The criminals will have very easy way to get armed, no matter what gun nuts do. It's as easy as going to Arisona or Nevada, really. Or have a friend of a friend in any of those states.

By your logic, the government can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants, under the guise of "protecting" the whole.

That is the talk of a slave. Go live on your knees and bow down before your Islamic masters. I live in the United States, which is a Constitutional Republic in which native citizens are born with God given rights. Those rights cannot be voted, given or stolen away by the government or my fellow citizens.

If you don't want to own a gun, don't buy one. But the Constitution guarantees that no citizen shall be deprived of life, liberty or property (including guns), without due process (and a "feeling" on the part of a cop or a judge is not due process).

Missouri doesn't register guns at all. Guess we are lucky.

All of this is ani-Constitutional. Not that the Constitution means much anymore.
Just more of the New World Order agenda for global dictatorship implemented at the state level.

Even a few leftist liberals are starting to see through it:

The disgusting criminals are going to be armed *anyway*, in the same way and for the same reasons they are able to move illegal drugs around. Do you think about that? Do you think at all? That's rhetorical.....

But *dupes*, like you, want to disarm us, who actually follow the laws, so that we are at the mercy of the criminals, which you in turn coddle as civil rights martyrs.

Dupes may be too mild a word here. Perhaps "traitors" would be more accurate.

We are talking about temporarily taking guns from people who have threatened their domestic partner with violence, what does that have to do with 'disarming you'? If you don't end up in the middle of a domestic violence this law will not affect you in any way.

No, we are talking about taking guns away from people who have been accused of threatening their domestic partner with violence.

Yep, and even without this law, guns are taken out of homes where there is a domestic violence call every day in California and it's been happening for over 30 years and no one has gotten their panties in a wad over it, not even the NRA. What we are talking about is an expedited way to get an ex-parte court order to keep the guns longer than the 72 hours currently allowed. There are a number of states with similar laws and I have not seen any lawsuits filed by the NRA in an attempt to overturn any of these laws, all of which temporarily remove guns from a household where a domestic violence incident has occurred.

This new law is someone saying your a nut and the police knock down your door in the dead of night and take your guns. In spite of what the law says everyone knows you'll never see those guns again.

Ted Kennedys car killed more people than any of my guns.

Well they can call you a nut, but you also have to be a nut who is threatening violence toward your domestic partner. Whine as much as you want, but the same procedure has been in place for decades, if you are married to someone who would falsely claim that you were violent toward them then you need a good divorce lawyer.
