Integrating the military and prisons is no better an idea than integrating schools and neighborhoods was.
I saw a clip on Decades network that blacks were insubordinate and rioting on a carrier ship in Vietnam in a warzone. The military didn't punish them and mostly buried and white washed it, blaming it on 'war protests', whites or such. They got to keep the myth of integration being good alive at any cost.
Blacks and poor whites were severely mistreated during the Vietnam conflict. And then leftie, socialist progressive democrats spat on them when they returned.
I was assigned to the Marines during Vietnam. We didn't have Black Marines or White Marines. We didn't have Hispanic Marines or Asian Marines. We had Marines. I am and will always be proud to have served with each and every one of them. I have never witnessed such bravery and such brotherhood as I did during that time. Semper Fi
How the hell the military combat units operate if the people are separated? They don't fight for pc or you, stupid, they fight for the people next to them (white, black, yellow, purple, etc) sheesh
It is all about survival and going home in battle field. who the hell would be thinking about skin color?

No stupidity or hatred here.

They were separated in the Civil War, WWI, WWII and Korea and fought fine, but that's not the issue.

People serve for years in the military and many never serve in combat but they still have to put up with PC, disharmony and other things when equality and integration is being done improperly by expecting equal outcomes and not equal expectations.
The military is beyond that. Who doesn't like it, just has to suck it up and do his or her job. If you can't, you shouldn't have joined.

If you screw up, you'll get put out, no matter what your background. Perhaps you know some crappy servicemembers who want to whine and complain. There is no room for lackluster performance and they are not wasting time and resources on you, especially as the military is downsizing.

Exactly. No one. Over 30% of my husband's unit didn't come back from Afghanistan on his first deployment. Who the !!!! is thinking about integration issues?
Do you think integration in the U.S. military was a good idea?
Yes, I think it adds color.
