Also how likely is it you will be put on this terror watch list?
Stricter regulation is not going to eliminate gun violence but may lead to lessening it.
Please show me the study that shows any gun regulation that has been implemented has done anything to lead to a lessening of gun violence in this country. We don't need gun regulations. Guns are not the problem. What we are experiencing is a breakdown in our society, and all the regulation in the world is not going to change it. Until we regain some of our values that we once had, there will be increased murder and mayhem, irrespective of any legislation that is enacted.

That's actually hard to do because the gun lobby has gotten Congress to pass a law that prevents the government from conducting research on gun violence. What do you think that they're afraid to learn?

There is no law as you describe.

Quietly, Congress extends a ban on CDC research on gun violence

In the immediate aftermath of the massacre in Charleston, South Carolina, the US House of Representatives Appropriations Committee quietly rejected an amendment that would have allowed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study the underlying causes of gun violence.

It is absolutely shameful that it has come to a point where the dollar is valued more than human lives. As I've said before, many of the country's issues actually link back to excessive monetary greed.

I agree with Boehner. They exist to research diseases, not guns and gun violence.

Looking at guns as a disease?
Guns are not CDC, business. ATF, has all the information you think the CDC should have, to consider gun ownership a disease.

I'm sure..... That is not the CDC's scope of there existence.

But then again, nothing makes any sense with government in today's world.

Some research has looked at gun ownership as a risk factor for homicide, for example:

MMS: Error

Americans would give up their own children before they give up their guns. In fact, seeing how many children are murdered with guns every year, they basically already do.

Gun fetishism is as bad as any form of religious extremism, imo. It fosters a culture of tolerance for high levels of gun violence, and subsequently, any violence causes an even stronger belief that more guns are the answer. Every single gun owner has some culpability in the tens of thousands of murders every year. They all helped create the toxic environment that seemingly has no end.
