Cargill spokesperson Michael Martin says prayer is allowed. But he says a misunderstanding of company policy came on December 18th, when 11 workers asked for a break to pray at the same time.

"There are times when accommodation is not possible," Martin said. "But in an overwhelming majority of instances, we do everything we can to ensure sure that we do accommodate employees."
Exactly. Federal law requires businesses to be accommodating, but not to the point of it being detrimental to the business.

Sheesh, next thing you know they'll be refusing to perform civil service jobs, like issuing marriage licenses, and using their religion as an excuse.
Oh, wait-- we've already got Christians who are all over that angle...
What does the bold have to do with the OP.......amazing how you people always have to include Christians in anything you feel is really about others. Should we talk about Muslim prayer or your disgust for Christians?
Actually, they were fired for refusing to come to work for three days straight.
Apparently they thought they could bully the company into doing it THEIR way by refusing to come to work, but the company (like many companies) considers not coming to work for three days to be voluntary termination of employment, so the company did what any company would do, they replaced the missing workers and sent out their final paychecks!
IMO, a completely justified action!
