Go read some non MSM news. Downplaying yes..exaggeration..hardly.

The MSM told us they were refugees, mostly women and children.
Then the pictures starting hitting the net...mostly men 18-24.

These are young single men who have left countries where women are hardly seen, if ever.
They are on a field day in these European countries like kids let loose in a candy store.

HappyTexan, you've hit the nail right on the head. That's exactly it.

You were not escorted by a male and probably not covering up your hair. Maybe your suit was too form fitting for their tastes. Therefore you are a target.

Why do we not take them seriously?

Of course. However, in this case we have photos and videos that prove it really did happen.

The sad irony here is, the German Jews were probably the most assimilated Jewish group in the world. Their often repeated motto was "German first, Jewish second". They had German customs, German mentality, German patriotism, just not the religion.

So, now Germany is using their well deserved collective guilt to bring in millions of people who are aggressively and violently against most things that the Western culture and mentality stand for.

Two wrongs don't make it right.

Really? Germans who were born after 1945 should feel collective guilt. Should Americans today feel collective guilt for slavery and the genocide of native Americans?

Ummagumma, I don't believe you have a good understanding of Germany for the decades prior to the Nazi party gaining control of the country. Should Jews have been forced out of the country and those that remained have faced a holocaust? Of course not, but while any non-PC information of what it was like back then before Hitler gained power is very hard to find, it wasn't as tranquil as many believe.

Hitler himself when he first moved to Munich as a young man was shocked at the way newspapers run by Christians talked about Jews, and then he read the papers run by Jews and was shocked by what he read in them against Christians.

I've read stories of Jewish shop owners that would wash their hands after doing business with a Christian because they viewed them as unclean. Jews gained control at many of the universities and controlled who was accepted for enrollment and non-Jews were froze out in favor of Jewish students. Bottomline, there were those in the Jewish community who were bent on controlling the country.

There was a British businessman working in Berlin who disliked Germany and the Nazi party. He wrote home to family in England after Kristallnacht that it was hard to find one Jewish person among 100 Germans, yet he had a hard time finding one shop (in a popular upscale shopping district) in 100 that wasn't dripping in blood red paint on Kristallnacht, meaning that most of the expensive shops were owned by Jews. The Englishman (who disliked Germany and the Nazis) said he understood why it happened.

I'm not defending anything the Nazis did, and have always abhorred it my entire life, my point is the Nazi party didn't gain power and become popular among some Germans in a vacuum. All was not tranquil and the utopia some believe between German Jews and Christians during that time period.

Germans of today should feel absolutely no guilt whatsoever about WW II and the holocaust, they weren't even alive back then. I don't believe in collective guilt when an individual person is so powerless against a government, so even Germans alive back then were powerless to stop the Nazis. They didn't vote Hitler into power, lets also keep that in mind.

NYC is not Germany. Maybe, just maybe, this isn't the norm over there...until now.
Defending? Hell no.

Cologne has the second highest crime rate in Germany, after Frankfurt. This was true before the migration and remains true, right now. They are no strangers to crime.

There are hundreds of media reprinting on Cologne with sensational headlines. " Mass Sexual Assaults, Sex Attacks, Monstrous Attacks" and so on. The reality is most were reports of gropes, by multiple groups of 20-30 drunk and aggressive Arab / North African appearing young men. Most media, including the BBC, is begging for first hand reports. Anyone can say anything and media will report it.

I don't understand how hundreds of thousands of attendees did not confront groups of 20-30 drunk men.

The German Interior Minister is blaming the local Police for not adequately patrolling the event site and train station. And maybe there is a tad truth to this.

NYC is acutely aware of the potential for " wildings" at or near major events and staff up for it. The NYPD is everywhere at and near major public events. This presence does not however, prevent groping and pick pocketing.

Germany has a population of about 81 million and accepted about 1 million " refugees". There are refugee tent camps in Cologne. The tensions between " refugees" and many nationals are high. Every ill is blamed on refugees.

Imagine if the US accepted 4 million refugees ( # of refugees adjusted for US population) and had refugee tent camps in NYC. The crowds would beat refugees to death if something similar went down, similar to what's being reported about Cologne.

I have no doubt Germany has been downplaying internal conflicts no different than those opposed to massive resettlement are embellishing.

It's a mess.
