except that what mr Obama just did would have done zero to stop any of the mass shootings you seem to believe he is working to prevent.

What Barak Obama just did was ban bathtubs in High Rise appartments in New York City to prevent tsunamis in Oregon.

This is unenforceable, as it is not law. Obama has no authority to make law. Secondly, "executive orders" may only apply to the administration and government agencies. They do not apply to private institutions, citizens, etc.

Therefore, there is nothing to compel anyone to follow his "order."

Obama is not a King, though he may think he is. Do not comply.
This is what it WILL do, though. Slow the process of background checks. And slow the granting of FFL licenses, which takes about a year to get through the approval process now anyway, if you wish to sell (two or more?) your guns.

The net effect? Major slowdown in the purchase of guns. So if you don't have any yet, Obama just DRAMATICALLY infringed on your 2nd Amendment Right to keep and bear arms.

Very dishonest and underhanded, and it won't do a damn thing to reduce Black on Black gun crime in Chicago, let alone anywhere else.

Obama's EO infringes on a Constitutional Right.
How can you say that when he has not even revealed his proposal yet?

Does President Obama have an unusual interpretation of the executive powers of the Presidency? Let's look at the record.

The most famous executive order may be Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

Still, President Obama seems to be issuing a LOT of Executive Orders, right? Have other Presidents issued so many executive orders? Let's look at the record.

Again, Obama issues Executive Memoranda to keep his EO number low. He is still abusing his position and flauting the Constitution, he just renamed the method by which he does so, to keep the low information voters from knowing the truth.

Even though Bush and Reagan got screwed by Democrats they still followed the Constitution unlike our current rogue in office.
Spied on the press, Congress and allies. Can't believe after doing far worse stuff than Nixon that he is not in jail.

I seen it on TV.

He wants manufactures to make guns that are harder to pull the trigger on than it is for the elderly to open a bottle of aspirin.

Default In Violation of Constitution, Obama Issues Order on Gun Sales

Relax.

If you can pass the background check, nothing changes for you.

Conservo #1: “Obama thinks he’s a king. He just ignores congress and tramples the constitution!”

Conservo #2: “Obama is in way over his head. He’s a weakling and has no executive experience. The world laughs at the USA!”

Conservo #1; “No! He’s a tyrant!”

Conservo #2: “No! He’s a wimp!”

The Obamaphobic right should hold a convention and come up with a consistent position on the president and then have Limpbaugh inform all members.

Carry on.
