Yes the climate is changing, it has been changing constantly since the earth was formed.

The poles have switched many times between North & South and will continue to do so.

The problem is, global warming alarmists who believe that somehow mankind has control over the climate of the planet. Mankind can work to keep the air cleaner of pollution and waters cleaner by doing the same, but as far as making floods, hellish rainstorms, etc. Humans simply aren't that clever, powerful or lucky.

1. We are roughly 200K years old.
2. So what if the planet has only sustained our species for a short time? 8.74 million species have called earth home. If your ego thinks your species is special or will have a good chance of beating the odds (math much?) then that's your own fantasy world.

Only a self-important megalomaniac would think political devices can overcome such odds.

Oh, but we are that powerful.....Look at history...We have poisoned our air, polluted our water, drained aquifers, destroyed thousands of square miles of forests, and are now the major cause of extinctions of other species, and yes we are the cause of floods and increased rainfall.

Pretty much my position. Humans are a blip in the history of the earth.

Are you saying that we shouldn't even try to keep the earth habitable for humans?

More interesting is the poll question where people were asked if they agree with the overwhelming scientific consensus that human activity is the main cause of climate change. Only 27% agree with that.

I like how this poll clarified that these are two separate questions, for a change.
The Earth's climate has been changing since the Earth was first formed, and will continue to change until it is ultimately destroyed.

The only people who even come close to denying that the Earth's climate is naturally in a state of constant change are the AGW alarmists, who appear to believe that a static climate is somehow normal, achievable and sustainable.

It isn’t.
As I've been saying. The earth heats and cools periodically.

Looks like the poll has simply matched numbers to the above five beliefs.
Count me in the number 4 group. The only way to get developing countries to fully participate would be economically catastrophous trade restrictions.

Yes, the climate is changing. Yes, humans have had an impact. I believe this. But how many people believe in ridiculous climate models projections that claim we in the Midwest will go from seeing a couple of 100F/38C days a year to seeing over 30 such days within the next 3 or 4 decades?
http://www.ucsusa.org/sites/default/...e-illinois.pdf

Especially given the fact that the number of 100F/38C days is trending DOWN in the Midwest

Or this BS where the average summer temp here which is 83F/28C today will be 94F/34C by 2100

If you asking people who the last president was you would be surprise who DONT know, some wont even know who the VP was. Some dont even know who the VP is now.

People are stupid if you give them enough media news EVERYDAY on a subject enough will believe whatever you say is happening. It will not matter if its true or not. Climate change to tell me its warmer, colder, and or whatever will never be questioned people see black and white on subjects like weather. Look outside its raining, that means climate change to them.

So if 70% of people believe in climate change 20 percent probably know what that actually means.
