Gay marriage is the law of the land, like it or not. It's time for Republicans to move on. This will be the issue that will kill the party on the national level if they keep going down their present path.

Now, without you invoking the wrath of God, talking about how gay marriage will increase the amount of gays, implying that WWIII will come about because of homosexuals, or drooling on the keyboard, explain how legalizing same sex marriage by the SCOTUS is unconstitutional other than the fact that you personally disagree with it.

It doesn't matter what the law is- people will do what they want to. Making it illegal will not curtail homosexuality.

No. This is one my biggest issues with Obama. He ignores law, selectively chooses to prosecute, etc, etc. I'm not about to become a hypocrite and say that if someone from the right does this, I am going to support selective application and prosecution of the law. Nope. I still believe in the rule of law even if our current administration does not.

I just wish gay marriage would finally be accepted everywhere in the US.
I could argue that Washington has a lot of beautiful areas, too, and I would pick Washington over Alabama in a heartbeat for various reasons, especially the weather.

Still, packing up and moving to the other side of the country is, as others have pointed out, very difficult to do. I managed it, but I had to spend quite a bit of time preparing, and it cost quite a bit.

a. Not pertinent to this topic
b. It's called the SUPREME Court for the reason. Lesser courts don't get to pick and choose.
c. Executive Orders aren't unconstitutional
