I think an Obama vs Wayne LaPierre debate is a splendid idea.

Agree on a format, moderator(s), and some firm ground rules and have at it.

Is either man interested? Has a challenge been issued?

I don't know if that is true, maybe since it is a town hall but there were plenty of people in the audience that had some fairly tough questions. It's not supposed to be a debate, surely they could have come up with one question and a follow up. Maybe it's better for them to just run adds and stay away from public forums.

One question.......

"You are the largest arms dealer in the world....you got 4 American's killed by running guns out of Benghazi and your decision to give guns to Mexican Drug cartels led to even more deaths......that being said, where do you suppose to get the moral superiority to preach to others about the proliferation of guns"?

Your question has nothing to do with the issue at hand, let me see 15,000 killed a year in the US vs 4 people killed in Benghazi obviously we need to focus on Benghazi since that has been the priority for the last 3 years.

Hence, why they didn't show up as they would only have been able to ask pre-approved questions. It most certainly does apply.

Lead by example. How many were killed by the guns that were moved through the embassy?

It's a people problem, not a gun problem.
If you had actually watched the town hall, you would know that he did address it several times during the discussion.

Do me a favor. Rather than whine about it and insult me, put me on your 'ignore' list. Thanks.

So the NRA pouted, took their ball, and went home.
