I am not a member of the NRA and haven't been for more than 20 years. They are simply to extreme for me and I grew tired of the fear mongering and the never ending phone calls for donations.

You can ask them to stop calling you. I asked them to stop mailing their propaganda and they did stop. What's the big deal?
The extremists are the lefty, liberals and the government. If one wants to know what that would be like without NRA, one only needs to look at California gun roaster. At beginning of this law, the Californians had over 2000 models to purchase, today less than 750. In about 5 years, it would dwindle down to zero.
This is a classic example of banning the guns without actually banning the guns - they just legislate them out of existence in the name of safety.
