El Chapo will be looking to even the score. Even in prison, this man is dangerous. And don't look for him to stay there long. Mexico is a corrupt place and he may very conveniently escape again very soon.
You know why Chapo did this right? He wants a Hollywood biopic made about his life. He wants to be in show biz!
Chapo wants the film. Sean Penn can more than help out with that, make some money and make a film. It's a win win. Nobody's going to die.
Penn and the mag will soon find out the error of their ways. Even in the US ghetto's, a snitch is a target. Both deserve what's coming ... Hugo and the college rape lie are coming home to rest. Lala land will shed alligator tears and elevate/nominate both for sainthood ... but that is to be expected.
I'd venture to say that Sean Penn and the Rolling Stone were not in contact with the law. They probably had nothing to do with the rearrest of Guzman. Nothing brave in their actions, no medals in their future.
Chances are someone in the middle that coordinated the interview spilled the beans.
From the news I watched tonight, penn and the Mexican actress were under surveillance by Mexican Feds when they boarded the plane to see chapo. No reports that penn knowingly helped in turning chapo in.

Mexican authorities have said Penn’s October meeting with El Chapo helped lead to the drug lord’s capture on Friday, six months after he broke out of a maximum-security prison, but Penn insisted he didn’t think his communications were tracked.
Mexican Attorney General Arely Gomez told a local radio station that investigators had followed the movements of one of El Chapo’s lawyers, not necessarily Penn or Castillo.

Sure, Chapo could want a biopic about his life. But I'm sure he wasn't trying to get imprisoned for the sake of it. You gotta understand that criminals such as these aren't rational people, and kill for less. There isn't a judge or jury, just whatever Chapo thinks and feels. A neighborhood gang leader could organize a hit just because he doesn't agree with something you did. Imagine what a cartel overlord could do.

Look at how they wrote this. Penn insisted, meaning that he was scared and didn't want anything to be tied to him because he knows the potential danger in that. It doesn't matter if he cooperated or not, it just matters whether or not he "helped" in the capture. Also, "not necessarily" doesn't mean the same as "neither one had absolutely anything to do with Chapo's capture". If I'm Chapo, I'm angry and I'm looking at everything under a microscope right now.
In a few months, Sean Penn will help El Chapo escape in a black Hemi Challenger while OJ Simpson pilots a helicopter filming from above as 100's of police cars give chase until they hit the wall of El Chapo's people in trucks and tanks who open fire with a barrage of bullets on law enforcement, at which time the Expendables will come out of retirement and go after El Chapo killing 100's of his people, and in the end Sean Penn and Sylvester Stallone will toss their weapons aside and fight it out to the finish while El Chapo eludes law enforement and we all wait for a sequel.

Damn. All of that in one sentence. I can't wait to see the movie ... and all of the Sylvester sequels.
