I forgot to add that if Obama is playing up the strength of the economy, you can bet its about to come crashing down. He reminds me of a ship's steward on the Titanic telling third class passengers to remain in the cabins and not to go on deck everything is fine. Meanwhile the first class passengers and crew are taking to the lifeboats.
Those who hold this extremist of anguish have internal issues within themselves they refuse to face and won't make efforts to resolve. They sadly "appear" to be unaware of what drives the root cause of their extremist. Deep inside themselves they know what it is, but they are too chicken heart'ed to face up to it. But many of the readers can see right through it.
The ingrained bigotry of many sorts; which is far and beyond simply Party System, but something deep within themselves is what drives them to cling to the parties extremist angles and motivations. The term is, deep seated bigotry, bias, racist slants and the consumption with the Antebellum ideology of the old Confederate mentality.
Now, that is saying a lot, far more than their minds will allow them to explore. It's like a blinding passion of bigoted madness.
At no time have they acknowledged the function and performance of the President on any item at any time, they even glossed over the simplicity of their front man, Mitch McConnell's statement, that "President Obama is VERY SMART, instead of respecting that viewpoint, that statement likely inflamed many of the right wingers, because it burst their bubble of wanting to claim him as being un-intelligent. Which is nothing more than the old concepts of the long span of past Jim Crow grooming, which taught for decades that anyone black was not of intellect. It may take a while before these types pass on, but the sadder reality is, hopefully they can't poison the minds of the young in general. We know there are pockets across this country where young minds have already been ingrained with the ramification of Jim Crow ideology.
Either way, the State of the Union speech spoke to a great many things, and certainly to the future where it is a necessity that people come to common terms. Hopefully in doing so, it can wash away some of the poisons instilled in them, from the old guard of the past and the delusions of thinking they can re-create a white dominant government and social system.
It's a tragedy when those pockets where the hate filled young are surrounded by the hate filled older groups continue to be bombarded with such madness. In some areas they live in dire poverty, or maybe with some means, but either sector, the madness must be washed out of their system by the newer generations who can and do see a progressive future.
There is nothing to conserve about the Old social system of the segregated, bigoted and racist regime mentality of some groups and sectors of the nations. They may die a slow death, but at some point the old will be washed away to make room for the new. President Obama's was quite right to use the last State of the Union to talk about the future, as he said, no matter who is the next President, Senator or other public official, they will face a changing world, changing ideologies and a new way of doing things. That can't be rolled back, it won't stagnate itself, and the world will push forward. In doing so, those stuck in the mud, may find the mud dried around their feet as they are steam rolled over, to pave pathways for the future.
Those who are unaware and choose ignorance of the many matters and works of the Presidents dedicated efforts over the past 7 years are also the same ones who ignore the mess that was left in his lap, and have no ideal what it took to get us out of the mess. (They don't want to know, because it would mean, acknowledging the Republican SYSTEM screw up and it would mean giving President Obama credit, these two things they can't get over themselves to deal with or address)
America will go forward and its nothing the far right can do to stop it. That is what anguishes them the most, because they can't re-create the past, and they have to swallow that delusion of some fiction of superiority and they have to acknowledge the elements of human equality, sadly, they can't even see that in God's making of Mankind, it was and is about the equality of the soul, all worldly things mean nothing in the spectrum of Gods truth, because NO ONE gets to take anything from this earth when death calls.
Mad measure about skin and mad measure about material things, and vanity of bigotry has made foolish mankind for many many centuries, and here in the age of information, many clings to such things of madness.
Thank Goodness, President Obama has the heart, mind and soul, to understand such things and work on behalf of ALL people. !!!!!!!
MANY in the Republicans SYSTEM hate that concept so much, until their anguish has them lost even unto themselves. They simply spend their days seeking something to lash out at and pursuing some means to generate conflict, and filled with a lust for fighting against something/anything.

Kind of strange people on the left have no family doctor.......seems people don't realize this is how people on the right get their BC and learn about STD's. Abortions should not be for profit! Abortions were meant for problems in the pregnancy and very early termination, not partial birth abortion......where do you people come up with ending Planned Parenthood and abortions and not see some are making a profit off of dead babies.

The only disrespect is the government making these nuns follow the HHS mandate when they don't even expect Scientology to do it. These nuns help the elderly poor live better lives until they die.
Its politics. As for the nuns, I dont respect them forcing their beliefs on others. I personally feel they should be paying taxes too. Nuns aren't anything special, beyond often being pretty kind people.
Nuns pay taxes on any personal income just like anyone else. IRS rules state that anyone working for a church that makes more than just over $100 has to file a return.
Some make no money. The ones that do are considered self employed and pay taxes just the same as any self employed individual.
Grumpy, can you cite some examples of what President Obama has done for you to consider him "corrupt"? Also, how did you come to the conclusion that Chance is brainwashed? What evidence do you have? I know these are tough questions but you can't just come into a forum like this and drop accusations with nothing to back them up.

If you don't know of them, and are too blind to see them on a daily basis, you have either been asleep for the last seven years, or have such a small intellect you can't comprehend what is right in front of your eyes..

Maybe you are actually talking about "Bush and his administration" and the mess he made, as it is certain confabulates often gets facts mixed up with reality. I can certainly agree with your handle and the commentary explains why it may have been chosen.
Reading is a very good thing, when one engages it to do research and seek out the truth, it is far better than listening to Limbaugh and being a Hannity or O'Riley fan.
There are some dangerous minds out there!!!! never in American history has there been this level of vile 'except" since a black man became President of the United States.
But, fact and reality is simple again. He is THE President of the United States, and has been for TWO terms. No amount of anguish can remove that fact from the history of this nation.
Furthermore, for the many who hold such anguish, another fact which is certain. Not one of the anguished commentators will ever in this lifetime nor in another become President, and certainly not President of these United States. Maybe that agitates some, but truth being truth. No amount of hatred will usher any of the commentators into the office of President, nor any post in any Presidential Cabinet, or for that matter, any government decision making position.
Another thing that will come to pass, there will at some time, maybe sooner or maybe later, there will be a "woman" President, and as time moves along, there will be another time that a black man or woman will again, occupy the seat of the President of the United States.
Those so anguished may want to pursue the option to be buried, standing upright, to keep from rolling in their grave.
Regardless of all such things - The State of the Union Address is recorded in American History, and he had the great opportunity to deliver it multiple times, as is the historical recorded fact, that he is the 44th President of the United States.
