There is no logic in your post;
- The boats were in Iranian territory
- The boats were armed.
- Iran took custody of the boats and crew.
- Iran concluded the incident was a mistake and not an intentional intrusion on their territory by armed forces/
- Iran let them go.
Seems straightforward to me. What do you think the US would do if two armed Iranian boats entered into US waters? I can tell you what Turkey may have done, shoot them, so the US should be thankful the Iranians are not as trigger happy as our terrorists supporting friends the Turks.
