If they continue with the policies Obama set in place, which is putting America in decline, I would say the Democratic party won't have a future. I hope who vote for Democrats realize it before it's too late.

As long as there are federal dependents and idiots, there will always be a democrat party.

Given that, I would say the future of the democrat party is very bright.

When one experiences a less than satisfactory experience with a dentist, they generally seek out another dentist, not a rodeo clown.Just what makes you think Trump can change anything? Businessmen have very little skill when it comes to government. Trump doesn't even have people skills. He's attractive to those who are of the mind "anyone other than a politician". If you like the idea that so many congressmen and governors are republican, wait a little while... My side is the politician who matches my ideology, not which party. I imagine you view politics much the same as sports teams...

Not on a scale anywhere near the rights absolute hatred of Obama. Which I have to say is mostly undeserved.

Really?

What is politics, but the art of negotiation and deal brokering? Throw in a little corruption, disregard for the constituents, and tunnel vision (nearly all are lawyers) and you have a politician.

Perhaps a candidate who is not a Washington insider and does not seek to advance personal wealth may be a good thing. We have seen (in Obama) that lack of political experience can be disasterous. On the other hand, Lincoln, Jackson, Ike, and Wilson had very little political experience before becoming POTUS.

On that note I'd have to say that Trump's idea of negotiation is rather apolitical. What goes on in private business would hardly work in a political setting. Lincoln held many political positions before the presidency. Wilson was governor of NJ. Jackson was a lawyer, a delegate to the constitutional convention, the first congressman from Tennessee, then a senator and a superior court judge.

Regardless of your respective personal beliefs, the change is inevitable. It's simply a numbers game - boomers are passing away, and millennials have mostly come of age. We are the majority generation in the workforce.

Feel the Bern!!
Of course they do. Because mommy and daddy are still funding their "dreams". Wait until those millennials have to enter the real world, and see that "free stuff" isn't really free.

Those boomers you think will go away were once the ultra-lefty generation that would have lapped up Sanders. Then they grew up.

What about all of the aforementioned who vote republican? Seems almost self sustaining across the board.

No, you just raised them to hate white men, Christians, and the middle class. Well played. At least you'll be the one to fund their ponzi scheme of a government when they take the reins.
