Mr. Trump's supporters don't own stocks except for the ones on their assault rifles.

Do the Obamalems who have been crowing about the DJIA take credit for this?

A recession worse than 2008 is coming

Here's an honest assessment of what will happen because the last 7 years were a complete cluster and nothing but propping up a failing economy with printed money and zero interest rates. Let the damn thing crash and the people who put these folks in office suffer badly.

I do and I don't. I majored in economics many, many years ago. I don't even think they had invented the term 'macroeconomics back then. What I do know is, when our current President leaves office, that we will have a National debt of about $19,000,000,000,000. We can print paper; but we cannot give our money 'worth' - that has to be earned with the products and services that we supply.

Of course our President does not act alone; he has his co-conspirators in in Congress to help keep our Country in the red. Our President does set the tone or pace of spending. Wars are great at overspending and our Presidents can point us in the direction of peace or war.

Ok--here we go again. The GOP is praying for economic doom and gloom so they can win in November. Don't you all understand that hoping the economy/stock market crashes makes one look unpatriotic and miserable? Don't you all understand much of this is based on factors outside of the US and the US government's control? Shocker--there's a big wide world out there affecting the market.

Hoping Americans do badly so your candidate can get elected is not a sentiment most people admire. In fact, the American electorate sees right through it. They tried this in 2012, and too bad for them--the economy did ok and Obama won. So you go ahead and wish for a bad stock market or economy, and the rest of us will carry on. If the economy continues to do well throughout the year, the country will be hesitant to give the reins to the GOP again.

And, btw, if you think average American voters are going to vote according to the Dow, you are living, well, in the bubble.

Maybe they won't vote "according to the Dow", but they will certainly vote what happens as a result of the Dow.

This. This is disgusting and why I have turned away from the GOP. It's not the party of leaders that I admire and instead anarchists (not in the sense of no government but chaos.)
