It's an interesting question. Personally I am an agnostic.

I look at it this way. This country isn't that old. The importance of that belief is part of what founded this country. Now skip forward to today. I believe that a strong majority of people (75%+ ?) believe in God. The movement to remove the words I think sets a more dangerous future precedent. IMO, part of the slow decay of society (other than time & exponential progress) is political correctness. People are so worried about offending people that it's sad this should ever be considered. Those human beings who first started to cry foul, saying it's wrong, are the problem. It's currency, and the heart of the founding fathers. If religion and belief in God was truly dying, then maybe consideration could be made. But I think that will not happen in my lifetime or far into the future. It doesn't harm anyone. If you don't believe it, are you not going to spend money because you are offended?

Of course there's the National Anthem issue in schools too for the same reason. IMO, if a child recites it leaving out the words "under God" to stick to their beliefs, what's the big deal?

Political Correctness - I hate it.
