One of the hostages was a marine, what was he doing in Iran, what does Americans kidnapped in Iraq have to do with Iran. What were these contractors doing in Iraq?

I would love to hear the alternative solutions for getting the 4 hostages released.

Bwahahahahaha. IF you believe that - then you are truly blinded by Trump's meglomaniac ego. One wife is strongly condemning his statements. But maybe he was over there negotiating for months? Ahh, nope.

Trump truly believes he controls everything that happens in the world. Classic Narcissist.

And the lemmings swim upstream to make it true.
Oh I think Trump knows POTUS does not/ will not control everything. Instead he panders to those who do seem to have such perceptions.

I'm likely going third party so I have no horse in this race.

3/4 are Iranian- American or dual citizens.

The journalist was reportedly in Iran to investigate corruption within the Iranian government.

The CIA contractor's family was paid $2.5 million to zip their lip about the nature of his work in Iran.

One was visiting his family for Ramaden.

And then there's the Christian Paster who made multiple trips to attempt to build an orphanage.

Rand Paul was just on Morning Joe acknowledging he is in agreement with how this was handled by the Obama admin.

No wonder he has been unable to attract any billionaires for his campaign.

Pretty much every other GOP candidate was trashing the deal except for Paul, of course they didn't offer a viable solution just the usual. They were perfectly willing to let these people stay in jail 10 years, and leave sanctions in place.

Kerry was on both Fox News and MSNBC this morning and indicated he didn't know where the $150B came from, he stated it was around $5B.

The jailing of the Washington Post Reporter appears to be a sham but it's hard to feel sympathy for the others but still glad they are released. Always wonder when I hear the words US contractor in the ME.

Media has quoted a range of $100-150 billion, most of which has been frozen by central banks other than the US.

Much of whatever the number is, will be used to pay debts. What is done with what remains of THIER money is unknown.

Russia, China, EU, France, Germany and the U.K supported the deal.

I havd no idea.

Attempting to investigate corruption in the Iranian government ( the reported purpose of his presence in Iran ) favored the opposing political party and was high risk.

Is there not enough corruption in the US to investigate?
