Everything Cruz said was spot on, it isn't his fault that the general population doesn't have enough brain cells to distinguish the difference between what Cruz said and recognize that what Trump said in response was a non-sequitur. Sure, New York firefighters and police are some brave people and really showed courage on 9/11, doesn't have anything to do with the fact their a bunch of Liberals.

Re: Cruz's remark that "not a lot of Conservatives come out of Manhattan"... I said that along time ago and it's why I've never trusted Trump.
You're right!

You'd think after two terms with Bloomberg, that DeBlazio wouldnt have a snowball's chance!! But WHAT DO THEY DO? They elect a SOCIALIST cop-hating Mayor!!

Yes different values!

Agreed.......typical NY attitude.....arrogant.....Thinking everything rises or falls on how they feel about an issue. Cruz will be fine.

It's one of the least free states in America and has the least in common with most of the nation.

It's not everyone on the Right of course, but a huge portion of them want nothing more than America's big cities to fail.

As far as your anecdotes, I didn't read them.

Well with Obama in charge, I can see how many cities have failed no doubt. Just look at those cities that failed, and since Obama has been in charge only gotten worse.

Disagree with you, most people do not want big cities to fail, they do want the cities they live in to be a safe haven for their families, many are not, and Obama certainly has not helped this situation.

Oh he was suppose too, but under his leadership, only have gotten worse.

I didn't say cities HAVE failed...I said conservatives want them to. Cities are actually becoming more and more popular to live in again..the white flight 1950s suburban nightmare is finally showing signs of death. Please give evidence of cities that are worse now with Obama than they were with Bush. City economies vary widely, and have a lot to do with local and state politics. Pretty sure our economy as a whole in the country is much better now than it was in 2008. The things I dislike about Obama (and there are quite a few) are things that he continued or ramped up that originally started under Bush.

Cruz should hang out more in Staten Island if he wants to be around like minded people.

Not all of them. You are stereotyping.

If NY tends to lean more towards the Democrats, then why single them out? How about Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, Vermont, Hawaii and a dozen other states?
Because TRUMP is from New York........hence NY is in the discussion.

He's right, and so was Cruz. That's what Cruz was talking about. Anyone should realize that.

.... Wait ... what???

Not in my city of Philadelphia. Things are much better since 2008. Much much better. Believe it. Do I have to post crime statistics, housing prices, construction projects, employment levels, quality of life issues, growth in medical and higher educational and cultural institutions???

Have you been to NYC or LA or San Francisco or Seattle or Boston or Dallas lately?

I hear even Detroit is coming back ...
