A reporter fro OPB who attended Finicum's funeral said it was open casket. So much for the reports of him being shot in the face.

If people did live or use it, that is only revenue for the state. Both the sale and the tax.

Again, I see no scenario, where land sitting idle has cost, unless it is to control a fire.

The land is being used as if it were owned, by free range ranching that has been done for 150 years.
What would be the difference if it was sold by the state for revenue and then get revenue from taxing the property. Win-Win for the State and the County, where THE PEOPLE live and vote.
Who will enforce the poaching of mule deer, rancher generated fires, killing of birds and other species, damage to water resources over areas that cover hundreds of square miles. Who will investigate and litigate criminal acts, the county, the state and where are they getting the money and resources. Tell me are the residents of Oregon ready to ante up, be careful what you ask for you may get what you want and it won't be pretty.

Yes, at the press conference the FBI specifically said it was a drone.

Well if it was a drone, they need to get a better drone pilot because they could have gotten a better close up to and completely removed the slightest shadow of a doubt as to what went down (maybe someone who runs that sky cam for the NFL)

Skycams are attached to cables. This enables them to have stabilization and high-digital tech that's heavy and would weigh down a drone.

Actually, there is legislation in Oregon that created a cooperative to manage the land, and to guarantee the public (including ranchers) access to the public land. In fact, the Hammonds took part in creating this legislation. However, the BLM was not complying with the law, and harassed ranchers. The BLM had to be taken to court to force them into compliance. In this instance, the BLM is clearly not an example to tout on how it should be done.

This is dedicated to the remaining four bozos at Malheur. Somehow it seemed appropriate.
