I especially feel bad for those Republicans who thought going to war with Iraq was worth it. I guess spending trillions to put ISIS into power was a great idea.
A lot of Democrats voted for the war.
Hillary and Bill made speeches calling for regime change in Iraq and talking about how Saddam's WMDs threatened us.
So did other leading Democrats: Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, John Kerry....
And the Democrats continued funding the war long after Bush was out of office and the Democrats had taken over Congress.
ISIS is in power because we didn't leave a residual force.
That's on Obama, not anyone else.

California's property tax revenue is high because real estate prices in California are high.
If you buy a modest million dollar fixer-upper in California, your annual property tax is a minimum of $10,000 a year.

Well, if those military families had no military jobs because we downsized the military, I don't see how that would help them.
They'd have to go find work in the private job market, which is not very good nowadays.
It's not like they were forced to join the military.
It's an all-volunteer force now.

Thats probably why more and more of such families are voting democrat instead and turning San Diego County blue. Though I wonder what does this have to do with electing who runs the cities we live in? As city councils would never send anyone to war nor decide foreign policies unlike the president or senators. I personally prefer city council to lean somewhat toward the conservative side, not necessarily republican though, just a more of a live and let live way of policy making, and focus on issues the residents really want to focus not let outside interests decide "we know whats best for you" ordinances to control the people against their will while ignoring crumbling infrastructure and many social issues on the streets.
Whether they're Republican or Democrat, local politicians are bought and owned by special interests.
In San Diego, that means government employee unions, teachers unions, developers, and billionaire sports teams owners.

Thats what I like about SoCal as even nowadays we can still find quite a number of cities or towns doesn't embrace a "nanny city" mentality as those Bay Area or coastal LA while neglecting real issues, but focus on running the city and serving their residents.
San Diego has been pretty good about avoiding the "nanny state."
I am leaving soon: We have had a 4-1 Republican split in the county board of supervisors for 22 years and they have governed more and more in a liberal manner over the last 10 years. When I was reserving my moving truck, the company told me that my date was good because from June 15 to July 1, they have on the reservation calendar 100,000 trucks leaving, but only 3500 coming in. I will be very curious to watch what SD will be like demographically and economically in a year. Qualcomm layoffs, over regulation at DPLU, Charger's leaving, the proposed 10% state health insurance premium surcharge to fund free health care for illegals, and the very real likelihood that illegals will be given the vote. This could add up to a huge wealth flight.

Republicans who voted for it like Clinton and Kerry and more than half the Dems

I wonder if you feel the SAME about ALL THE TOP DEMS who supported the war AND VOTE for it?

I especially fell bad for all those Iraqi men and women that we liberated....that Barak Husain Obama abandoned
to rape and murder.. to having their hands heads and feet cut off.... to being tossed off of the tops of buildings for being gay...
to being forced into sex slavery...
to being forced to commit murder of their own family members just to get to live for a few more days.... to being burned alive....
THAT is who I feel sorry for. Barak Husain Obama has blood on his hands. He is no different than the dirtbags that left Germany in ruin after WW1. I take that back. He is worse. He has the lesson of history that he has ignored.
YOu leave the desperate in the hands of the evil, bad things will happen. the end of WW1 proved that. Obama doubled down.
