Serena Williams makes more in endorsements than any other American female athlete, and more than male NFL stars like Payton Manning and Tom Brady. But she doesn't make as much as Maria Sharapova because... racism. And if you claim Sharapova makes more simply because she's prettier and isn't built like a linebacker that's also racist and sexist.

A Quartz analysis of male vs. female tennis player earnings found that there is a gap at the top of the pack—the top man, Roger Federer, has won $82 million from tournaments, while the top woman, Serena Williams, has earned only $56 million— things even out in the middle: Martina Hingis is the 11th highest earner in women’s tennis with $20.3 million from tournaments, compared to the $20.6 million earned by the men’s 11th highest earner, Andy Roddick."
Williams is attractive, but has more masculine features than the svelte Sharapova, who looks like a model. It has nothing to do with race. Sharapova is simply more traditionally attractive.
This is nothing more than someone once again trying to interject race into a matter where it doesn't belong. The highest paid athletes are mostly Black. The athletes who make the most off endorsements are mostly Black. You're stirring the pot because you need to create controversy where it doesn't exist. Its no wonder that race relations are getting worse when you have people like this manufacturing outrage.
If Serena looked like Brittney Spears she would be a billionaire already. If she looked like Beyonce she would be worth half a billion. For women looks matter. Period. There is a look that is the standard of beauty in the western world and Sharapova has it and Serena doesn't. Period
I think this statement is the real reason she isnt making Sharapova money when it comes to endorsements.
Some people like to make fun of her appearance and call her a man.
Black male athletes can sell anything to America but Black females? You have to look like Halle Berry to make good coin selling products.
