All over the news is the passage of bill in the Michigan state senate of SB-0219, a bill outlawing both oral and anal sex in that state. The bill was sponsored by Republican senator Rick Jones, who attached it to proposed legislation dealing with animal cruelty. The bill supporters were all Republicans.

Penalty outlined in this so-called "anti-sodomy" bill is 15 years imprisonment.

According to news sources the legality of such legislation is highly in doubt because the US Supreme Court ruled back in 2003 that these types of laws violate the US Constitution. If and when this law goes into effect no doubt it will be challenged in the courts.

The scandal of the contamination of the Flint, Michigan, public water supply would seem to many of us a more pressing issue for the Republicans to address.

Well if they're going to have water like a third world country's, might as well have laws like a third world country too.

Why do you feel that oral and anal sex are abominable and detestable?

Ha, maybe the wrong phrase to use given the context of the bill

Yep -- hard to swallow this one.

I'd like to get to the bottom of who is responsible.

So you can't sodomize a donkey but you can have regular sex with it?
