Yes it does. The weaker Assad becomes the more territory and influence ISIS will gain. Hurting Assad helps ISIS, regardless of what faction we think we are helping.
Just wait for the False Flag Attack on US Forces, which will give the green-light to permanently remove Assad.

False flags are more needed in a tense area but one not actively on a war footing.
