Yes, as I said earlier trade with China is not the problem. Fair trade is what is needed. There is nothing wrong with banning imports made in a way we would not allow here. The example of a few years ago where they were sending over products painted with lead paint is a good example.
Chinese drywall from 10-15 years ago still haunts us.
Obviously the biggest downside of NAFTA was the sucking sounds of our jobs going to Mexico, but what was the upside of NAFTA?
WalMart, Home Depot and Lowes got to open hundreds of new stores serving nearly 100 million people.
American oil and gas companies can now invest in Pemex and our media and cable companies now have new ventures with TeleMex! GM get cheaper engine blocks for cars and trucks. NAFTA puts hundreds of billions of dollars in Americas high net worth individuals pockets!!!
If you are not getting your share of the NAFTA billions you are one of those losers The Donald talks about.
I wouldn't mistake Baidu for Google, except for it's sheer number of users.
Yea... that sounds like you don't know much about the relationship between Baidu and Google. Google search is based off of technology from Baidu's own Robin Li. Li's rankdex is referenced in Larry Page's paper on page ranking. So if you don't consider Google Search and the technology it is built on "innovative", then I question what you think actually is.

And?
Google has evolved into much more than what Baidu has and dominates global market share in many aspect: Android is 75% of market share in China btw. I never claimed China doesn't innovate, just that America has been the leading innovator.
You don't understand the concept of globalism and its goals.
The bigger picture is a global workforce all making the same money everywhere in the world.
Third world country salaries are increasing while first world salaries are decreasing.
Eventually they will norm.
And just to reiterate, that equalization process will take decades upon decades and as wages increase in countries like China the mfg'er that's being complained about now moves westward towards C. Eurasia, MENA, India and Africa.
You'd think that would be scary enough to Americans to listen to someone tell them that they need to learn to do more with less. Instead they just scream, whine and cry louder.
I bet they wish they didn't fall prey to the "everyone is a winner" BS the left has been cramming down our throats.

I've been saying for a while now, the US is going to eventually slide down to being a second world nation (not in terms of original definitions of that, I mean in between being a developed country and an undeveloped country). Luckily the US already has the infrastructure in place to avoid devolving into a true third world country.
Americans had better get used to a much lower standard of living, because that's all most will have, unless they're elite enough to be able to compete against the entire world and win.

If you've been saying it for a while now --
and it hasn't happened, and is not in the process of happening, then isn't it about time to conclude you're wrong?
