Just wondering if Obama has the power to nominate himself to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia or if he does not the power to nominate himself to the Supreme Court.

I'd hope we could end up with somebody who has more respect for our society as a nation of laws, not of men. After the roughing up Obama has given the rule of law, he would likely be a disaster as a Justice of the Supreme Court.

That thread is closed.
therefore, this thread is no longer redundant!
If this one can be kept civil (a forlorn hope), maybe it will stay open for a while.
Even if the Constitution does allow him to nominate himself, the Senate would have to confirm the nomination. I don't see that happening!
Even if he resigned, making Biden President, and then Biden nominated him, I don't see the present Senate confirming him.

Interesting question. To be fair, I think Obama would make a much better Justice than president.

The answer is "No". Barry has no judicial experience; plus, he'd be too biased. The Senate should just stall the process until our next president goes in.

It's closed because I reported the harassment I faced on it.

Y'all seem to lack the intelligence to do anything but personal attacks (to forum in general, not who I quoted).
