You haven't created any additional places to live. Now, if you built a new apartment complex, that's a different story. There's a difference between making money by growing the pie and making money by taking a larger slice of the pie.

Money doesn't define happiness. Once over $60k a year, meaning once our basic needs are met, the more money doesn't necessarily means all happiness.

Yes someone may have billions but it doesn't mean they are happy at all. Be content with what you have and live below your means. That defines happiness.

I can be perfectly happy with a computer to Internet. Don't need TV, fancy cars, big house etc. etc. etc. I can get my books at local library. I am all set.

I did not think the person would answer about his/her age. He/She does not understand the investment it takes to create a living space for another individual.

The fact is there is demand for services also. They certainly add value or people would not use them.

It might be possible, but very few people even attempt to do this. Most go through life completely unaware of most of the things that influence them.

Bad example-you're creating shelter for someone.

But there are MANY positions in our society that pay enormous sums of money with no value added. Most of these positions are in finance and do not produce any value to our economy-money manipulators, etc.

In the same boat.

Oncos pay for expensive machinery and need to recoup their money. proton therapy, tomotherapy, etc.....you got to believe whatever choice you make.

Problem with cancer research is there are so many leads which one do you invest in.

OP makes it sound like you are qualified as a doc if you stayed ata red roof in. Smacks of the destruction of patient doctor relationship, trust and comfort critical to recovery that obamacare ignores. You see a new doc every visit....good luck with that.

I completely trust my Doctors. I doubt is any of them make more then about 200k per year. They would all be under the basic deductible I set in my proposed Income Tax. They would take home a lot more money and the CEO of the insurance companies a lot less.
