Sure, I think their salaries are ridiculous but that's how they're negotiated, and they get a substantial percentage of what their films or sports events earn--and even if they're flops.
I think they are overpaid and, comparatively, what they do for a living is not "important" (sorry, Hillary Swank).
Here's my take on actors and athlete salaries, whatever they are, there are just a piece of a much bigger pie. And unlike many a CEO we can objectively value there contribution to the enterprise.
Who are we? If a CEO doesn't perform, he gets fired just like a basket ball player. We have plenty of ways to objectively value their contributions.

I would not pay a dime for the junk holly wood produces now days. and that goes for sports as well, and I would never buy a product because a big lame name super jerk endorses it..

The thing is that no one cares what an individual CEO makes. All they care about is what they paid all the CEOs and what the value of the company is.

All the whining...... about overpaid actors, athletes and CEOs. If you're mad about it, vote with your wallet. Don't see their movies or watch their games or buy from their companies. No one is stopping you from doing this and it'll have more of an effect than whining.
Poor people are powerless in a capitalist economy because they have few dollars with which to vote.
