OK, how much in taxes do they pay?
Public universities were free in California until the 80s, and the average annual tuition was $234 in the 60s....

The title of this thread is misleading, so I really don't have much to say in it's regard.

However, I am so sick of the anti-education crowd on the right immediately blabbing about "worthless cultural degrees" the second the topic of student loan debt or education come up. Do you realize that there are literally hundreds of other highly practical degrees that require a college education that will not immediately pay that high of a salary post-graduation? I guess engineering, nursing, physical therapy, business, finance, architecture, social work, education, IT, etc. etc. etc. students should all suffer with the horrid system we have that puts them thousands and thousands in debt the second they walk off the stage at graduation...they are all worthless degrees right?? And please don't tell me that all these majors will pay well enough upon graduation.. A 22 year old engineer paying $950/month loan payments while trying to live and work on their own while making $40,000 as a new civil engineer sure isn't living the life. And that is a good scenario. Stop with the simpleminded "I'm so sick o' dem artsty school kidz and ther debt" talk and take a look at how the world is changing, requiring MORE educated people in an increasingly technologically advanced world. We NEED to make education a top priority in this country, or we are going to suffer immensely down the line. Wake up.

So lets see, the government in collusion with corporate and banking lobbyists, created policies to favor themselves via slave labor and a race to the bottom for everyone else, cutting the purchasing power of the average American that can't keep up with the cost of rising tuition, housing, medical etc.

If your a Pharmaceutical Giant or Insurance Company in bed with the Government, since Americans can't afford to pay you all you want, the brilliant solution is to force everyone to prop you up.

If your a Big Bank on Wall Street that defaults or a Corporation that is run into the ground, the bankers get bailed out and the corporate leaders taking all the 'risk' get golden parachutes leaving the employees with nothing.

And now that they can't squeeze blood from a stone, they want to use the Big Government protection to come after you.

This is medieval and fascist debtor's prisons, something the rest of the free world abolished eons ago.

How free are we when for-profit prison companies and private bounty hunters can lobby the politicians to create an atmosphere that breeds more crime and they'll make sure people can go to prison for the smallest of offenses, just so that they can earn more money. Its disgusting and people need to wake up to this corrupt system of campaign finance that's selling the American people out.

Think only reason marshals involved- contemp of court / he refused to show up to a federal court several times. The reason, however, debt on student loan - not up to them, but puts them in a bad light- yet might scare some. The dude looked like he could afford to pay it back. And should have. No sympathy on this one.

No they don't. They pay dearly for it.

They use force to take the payment from the people, regardless if they go to college, or not.

100% of the population, pays by force of punishment, for the services only 35% will use.

But yeah man that socialism is horrible some way or another. I know cause Limbaugh told me.
I lived in France for a long time. The standard of living in France is way below the US. The only thing that is better in France is the healthcare system, the greatest in the world. But then, it is indirectly subsidized by America.
