Sad, but true. But in this case, even video cameras are not enough protection. People who abuse their power are the lowest form of humanity.

A Florida police department is facing racial profiling charges after stopping a man 258 times and repeatedly charging him with trespassing at the convenience store where he works.

At least once a week for the last four years, Earl Sampson, 28, has been stopped by Miami Gardens police — and searched more than 100 times, jailed 56 times and arrested for trespassing 62 times, records show.

The only conviction he's had, according to his lengthy records, is for marijuana possession.

You use to be able to carry a gun, the same as them. Making you equal to any badge.

Are you proposing that Earl Sampson kill a cop so he can put in a shift at work without being hassled? How is that going to eliminate his police problems?

You can carry a gun same as them. I expect the penalty for unlawful carry is a lot less than shooting someone. You were going to shoot them weren't you? If not, why carry. I suppose you could get a carry permit. Then would you shoot a policeman? Life is too short.

It's safe to say that store is being targeted.

The question is why?

Will be an interesting case to follow.

There was a thread on this when it came out a few years ago. The article in the OP is dated 2013, curious why a new thread?

Hmm. didn't notice the date!

But I was unable to find news on the federal lawsuit, so I'm assuming it's still pending - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Gardens,_Florida
