Statement from Montana Governor Steve Bullock "No Syrian refugees have been settled in the state and we have had no formal requests to do so," the governor's statement read."
Back in 11/15 the Montana governor said he would offer an unspecified number of Syrian refugees a safe haven , if requested. None have been resettled and no request had been made to resettle.
Three months later some media is reporting a plan to resettle refugees in Montana and the locals in one town are up in arms about it.
Where is that plan?
As an aside, my preference is to put all refugees, from anywhere , on hold until the US resolves the 30 year old illegal immigration situation.
Most likely once President Obama checked out Montana he realized just what wide open spaces meant......so he is moving them to Texas.

Local people in Montana have initiated this, not Obama, and nowhere does is say anything about 10 000 people.

Soft Landing, like most of the non-governmental organizations working with the government to plant refugees into U.S. cities, is working with churches and faith-based groups behind the scenes to create an atmosphere that is more "welcoming" of refugees.
David Lubell of Welcoming America works closely with the White House to soften up the soil in cities targeted to receive an influx Muslim refugees.
Many of the community organizers have received training or consultation from David Lubell's Welcoming America organization, which was started with seed money from billionaire George Soros. Lubell is a close adviser to President Obama's "New Americans" initiative, which seeks to convert millions of refugees and recent immigrants into U.S. citizens with full voting privileges.

Most convicted rapists (and we know only a small fraction of rapists are convicted) are white men. Where has your outcry been about that? Rape isn't a cute threat to use to mask racism. Men rape, period. Any influx of a population of men is going to result in more rapes. What is happening in Europe is horrible - but it's strange that THAT'S the issue people seem to focus on when 1 in 6 women are raped regardless. Are American men savages with those statistics? Are white American men animals that should be deported and barred from the country?
