PPs are a very small percentage of the facilities at which free contraceptives are available for no/low-income women, and they frequently overlap service areas with other facilities, stripping funding from those other resources (Public Health facilities, County Health Depts, etc.). In other words, PPs are largely redundant and worse, compete for public funding with resources that are already available.

My suggestion to those who still insist on supporting PPs: get the liberal elite to fund them through private foundations. Bill Gates, etc., is always harping on overpopulation. Get the Gates Foundation to fund PP. Same with all the other limousine liberals.

I agree with all of your posts on this topic. We don't need to continue with populating this country to keep up with the past when we have a shortage of jobs, resources and ariable land space. A smaller population should be the desired goal.

Not true. Federal income tax rates could be decreased because there would be a much smaller welfare-dependent class to support. Therefore, the self-supporting class would keep more of their income and would be able to afford to have more children.

66% of births to Blacks are paid by Medicaid. Do you really expect us to believe Blacks are predominately Catholic?

If you took all the Black babies aborted since Roe v. Wade and brought them back to life the Black population would be 40% larger than it currently is. Presumably the vast majority of those are poor Blacks. Imagine our society today with 40% more poor Blacks? Our schools, prisons, unemployment, not to mention their voting power. From a progressive viewpoint how can you say it hasn't worked? There's a reason Margaret Sanger of PP launched the "Negro Project" and based it in Harlem instead of Manhatten. She often talked about eliminating the poor and the "undesirables" to build a better race of people and most people, when pushed, would admit we're better off without these aborted lives. Population control aimed at minorities and the poor will become more important moving forward, and will be closely linked to climate change solutions.

I don't believe most areas with high birth rates do not have easy access to birth control.

That's PP's violin song for funding. As if only they can provide BC.

Obamacare made it all FREE and they are still popping out babies paid for by medicaid.

Since these women don't or can't get BC what should happen is when they go to apply for welfare for their kid they also must agree to get an IUD.
Paying for that on government money is cheaper than paying for kid after kid after kid.

NYC offers that in their public schools (paid for by their tax dollars) and teen pregnancies went down big time.

Interesting point. Bill Gates (who's always railing against overpopulation) and other liberal elites will have to face a quandary when it becomes evident that if they limit the overpopulation of the poor, liberals will disproportionately lose voters.

I agree there already are provisions for the majority of the services offered by Planed Parenthood elsewhere.

My suggestion is they shouldn't count of the elite they should pony up their own money if they believe it is important. If this happened there would not have to be any question of government funding.

And there shouldn't be any questioning. PP is not a public service agency.
And they used to say they didn't rely on government funding as it was only a small part of their budget.
