"We are in a very dangerous moment where it is important that on a bipartisan and measured way we in Congress and the administration come to a common position about when we are willing to go the next step and to send not just arms but troops to the aid in defense of Ukraine," the senator, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said. "If the answer is never, then we are inviting another level of escalation in brutality by Putin."

Coons is a gun control supporting liberal who has never served in the U.S. military. Yet he seems intent on having U.S. troops deployed to Ukraine to fight the Russians. I suspect a lot of Democrats in Congress agree with him.

Ukraine has gotten tons of money and stuff from the USA....leave it at that.

Ukraine will hopefully win/lose the war on their own, the USA should stay far away.

I agree! No U.S. combat troops or aircraft should be deployed to Ukraine. I'm also leery of sending Ukraine billions of U.S. dollars with little accountability or oversight. Otherwise Ukraine will become the next fiscal boondoggle in Washington. I wonder how much of that $14 billion and now $800 million in military assistance will ever be accounted for? We got burned in Afghanistan and that could easily occur in Ukraine regardless if whether or not the Russians are ultimately victorious. This spending doesn't include black funds for CIA covert operations. No doubt the CIA Directorate of Operations has people on the ground in Ukraine (and maybe Russia). The 16K plus international volunteers including 3K Americans are an ideal cover for them. I'm sure Joe and Kamala have no clue. Plausible deniability and all that.

If Biden attempts to deploy U.S. troops to Ukraine without Congressional approval he should be impeached.
