However, when a gun enthusiast develops mental illness he may have a proclivity to use the guns he loves. In other words the gun culture plays a role in the abnormal mind of people with mental illness. That is why I always pray a gun lover does not develop mental illness.

When was the last time you saw a non-gunlover go postal? When they go nuts they may do crazy things, but generally they do not have the firepower to do a lot a harm since they may not even know how to handle a pistol or a rifle.
This is not true, they are not prone in mental illness, or crime. The problem is they see any restriction on who owns a gun as an infringement in their rights. It makes for those who wish to ban guns, not being willing to keep the guns out of the hands in the mentally ill.

I think that most gun owners would love to keep guns from the mentally ill. Problem is, there are already laws for that, they are just not enforced. I guess you know that the NRA is the one that proposed background checks.

Please explain what you mean by "gun culture".

"When was the last time you saw a non-gunlover"

Do you own a house? I guess that would make you a "house lover'.

Do you own a TV?

I guess that would make you a "TV lover"

Do you own a computer? That would make you a "computer lover"

I guess that would make you a "TV lover".

Ridiculous post.

I have repeatedly asked for evidence to support the notion that guns cause violence but I got no answer from the gun control people.

I also questioned why we should worry about legal gun owners when the general population is 8 times more likely to commit crime or go postal. Again, I got no answers from the gun control people.

If you can't answer these questions, why did you make up a post like this?

Are you guys being dishonest, unethical, ignorant or just plain ....?

Well good thing for us you're not in charge of the Constitution.....

I'll give you a clue: IT'S NOT CALLED THE BILL OF NEEDS.

And the 2nd amendment was not written because the deer were coming.

There are more than a few people over there in Left Field who would like to define "mental illness" as any failure to agree with Big Brother/Sister.

The mental illness has already be defined as any failure to agree with the liberals.
