I do think Trump supporters tend to be happy to see Britain break away. The demographic is similar as well.
I believe that is the accurate...in both cases throwing the finger at the elites and globalists.

YMMV
There will always be panics....if not this, then something else. Switzerland has done will without the EU as has Norway. Sometimes social issues outweigh fiscal ones, such as in this case. Nationalism/populism is the wave of the future, not globalism. The globalists somehow think they can wish away human nature. And when human nature did not bend so well to the EU's demands they became more dictatorial hence the vote tonight.

Let's see how happy they are over the next five years and beyond.

We'll be very happy - come what may. We had to get out of the EU.

The US has been debt free exactly one year, 1835.

Every presidential admin has inherited debt and piled on more debt.

Congress, not the President, controls the purse strings.

You should have stopped at "if not this, then something else" The rest is jive.

To you it is. I could care less if you are ignorant of the human condition & what motivates people & cultures...this vote was about self-determination, culture, massive immigration, over-regulation & the super-state....fiscal concerns were put on hold. You have said less than nothing about WHY this vote happened.

Business conservatives and globalist liberals aren't happy with the precedent set by the UK departure of a trading bloc. They don't have any intention to reward the UK for withdrawing from the EU. The withdrawal is also a big setback for the TTIP. The US also isn't really seeking bilateral free trade deals anymore.
