Trump saw the drop in the pound as a positive, good for his golf courses.

This is having a big impact on all the markets across the globe, going to be a bad day in the US.

The value of sterling slumped to a 31-year low on currency markets and was on course for its biggest one-day loss in history as panicking investors contemplated the prospect of a vote to leave the European Union.

No, the older folks know a different life, can compare. Possibly make a wiser decision. The younger know no other life. It is natural to fear the unknown. Leave your snark at the door.

Great news, the eminent decline of the UK economy might give protectionists here second thoughts.

Is there an exit poll showing why people voted to leave? My guess is it may have more to do with Muslim immigration than trade.

Only if you are a financially unsophisticated. Markets will be unsettled, even down for a while. Several months. It only took the markets seven months to hit bottom and begin a long and great climb, after Lehman Brothers. The Great Recession. And, actually, the U.S. was in recession for ~three quarters before that event.

I agree. This is all the young know and change is scary. Older people know a life outside the UE.

Temporary. Just could not help the immature snark in that last sentence, could you?. I'll pray for you.
