How about the nation was created by British immigrants, our law and culture are derived from the same, we've always joined together in times of crisis and we probably share more ideals and beliefs than any other country except perhaps Canada.
Great Britain should go to the FRONT of the queue after this. Once again they have shown BALLS in the face of whiny liberalism and oppression.
Well good for them, if that's what they feel is best for their country!
This isn't Britain though.
If I recall correctly, Trump didn't even know what Brexit was up until this past month. So taking the stance that he was right ALL along is a bit of a reach. Lol
I never thought we would see the day that the democrats are the defenders of capitalism.
The DNC is moving right. That said I think the poster was right, England along with Germany and France are the economic powers of the Eurozone, but Britain has never really wanted to be a part of it in the first place.
Great news, the eminent decline of the UK economy might give protectionists here second thoughts.
Is there an exit poll showing why people voted to leave? My guess is it may have more to do with Muslim immigration than trade.
Anger at immigration was probably a large part of the leave votes. Though most Muslims in the UK are from Pakistan and Bangladesh who can immigrate as part of the Commonwealth. Brexit will impact the EU immigration from places like Poland, Lithuania, and Romania or other Eastern European countries. Though if the UK makes things difficult for EU citizens already there, the EU could make things difficult for all the British ex-pats who settled across the EU. Could be a bit of a mess.
Sorry, no. Your starry eyed view of history is extremely blurred. You kissing this much British ass would have made you a Loyalist back in 1776. We got our independence for a reason, and while the UK is similar to us, we didn't vote our independence from the British Empire; people died for independence. How ironic that it's right-wingers, the "true defenders" of the Constitution, want to get in bed with the British again. But then again, you're also the same people that cry, "To save the Constitution, we have to separate ourselves from it, first". Shame on all of you neo-Confederates. The real anti-Americans are Republicans.
Well, that was 240 years ago right? Britain has done quite a few things to not only win our friendship since then but our profound respect.
Like giving a giant finger to foreign governments that want them to take more and more immigrants to further degrade their society.
Britians market is in a complete free fall. They might close the markets. The Pound is worth nothing. The world burns and Trumps fanatics cheer. Pathetic on every level. Though now that the sterling and pound are worth nothing, foreign companies are about to raid UK ones. I would wait though until the UKs credit rating is reduced in a week and then buy.
We can always count on the Leftists for extreme Hyperbole. The pound dropped 11%, back to the level it was on my first visit to the UK. The interesting thing is that the Polls were wrong, the Bookies took a real bath because the betting pools were wrong and while Labor Leaders preached "Remain", Labor voters voted Leave.
The U.K. press were united in pushing "Remain".
UK Leadership was Tone Deaf to the Citizens ..... A lot like they are Tone Deaf in the USA.
Like someone on here said if Brexit passes, Trump wins. If it would have failed, Trump loses.
I do believe that. It's a movement of thought in the world.
Freedom loving people are fed up with Liberalism.
