Yeah, they dont quite get that fact, but headlines like "lowest gun homicides in 50 years" won't sell in the media.

My best friend works at that Excel Manufacturing plant and was in the basement of the building walking up the stairs into the production area when the gunshots started going off. I talked to him a few hours ago and he was obviously rattled. While I don't really want to get political over it, I'd be surprised if this was a gun free area. It's a very conservative and fairly rural area. These type of attacks can occur anywhere and it's next to impossible to know who might go off like this. When attacks like this occur, especially one so close to home, it has really made me question my beliefs on gun rights/control. But we should wait until we have facts before making judgement calls.

I had CNN all night and nary a word was mentioned about this. I guess this is becoming so old hat in this country that if you want to get noticed, you gotta kill at least 10 or 12 people, otherwise, nobody cares. Sad commentary.

Edit: Article I saw didn't mention the race, not this link
Not all of us are obsessed with race like some people are, and usually the ones that are most preoccupied with it are the ones who yell the loudest to call other people racists.

Well I beat my wife 4 times on Monday, but I only beat her twice today. I guess that qualifies as an improvement, for whatever it's worth.

VITAL TO DISARM

You can never have an efficient totalitarian police state, when it has to be “benevolent” and fearful of millions of armed citizens. And you can’t disarm millions of armed citizens when they won’t tell you where the arms are. And you can’t arrest them until you criminalize their disobedience to “reasonable” gun restrictions and “common sense” registration. And you can’t tolerate their belief that they have an “endowed right” to self defense against tyranny, that supersedes your political power of the bigger gun.
• An Armed Populace Fears No Government.
• A Disarmed Populace Fears All Government.

Disgusting.
SMH..."thoughts and prayers go out to the families blah, blah, blah...

Always the same old rhetoric. As if that'll make it all better.

Strawman? Who stopped this shooter? A good guy with a gun stopped him.

Routine.
And a small price to pay for my local, well-regulated militia which continues to keep me safe from governmental tyranny.
