You do not understand the 2/3rd majority and the reason it exists?

No wonder this nation is going to the landfill.

No way. Each state is it's own "country". People in West Virginia should not be subject to the whims of voters in New York.

Whether you can trust politicians to do the right thing is beside the point.

Do you really trust voters in Los Angeles to understand the issues facing ranchers in Wyoming? For instance, the ranchers in Wyoming need water to feed their animals. But a policy taking water away from Wyoming and giving it to Californians is proposed. Obviously the Californians grossly outnumber the Wyomians. Do you trust the Californians to do the right thing?

National referendum elections would have us be a Democracy, which we are not, instead of the Representative Republic we actually are.

From my Canadian perspective it Seems Americans dont actually vote for their candidate of choice but instead vote for delegates to represent their candidates of choice, then super delegates to represent their candidates of choice, Then the whole process has to pass the electoral college. One of the problems i see is these delegates arent mandated to vote for the candidate they were elected to vote for making the whole process open to much manipulation.
