But why didn't they follow any of the gun laws? Isn't it against the law to illegally acquire weapons? Why didn't they get these registered? What about their background checks?? So many questions!

My sources say they tracked one down by his giant butt crack on the video footage. (First guy in the foreground...)
That crew was in the wrong business. Being that smooth (once they figured out how to make the chain work...) they should be hitting jewelry stores - they couldda heisted millions. Instead what did they get? A few guns and years in prison.
Many things that store owner could have done and they would not have got anything in a smash & grab, but a few cleaning kits, some holsters and some scope rings.
Kinda like the motorcycle shop, moves bikes out side along the sidewalks to display the merchandise. They bring them back inside and lock them up when the store closes.
A simple cable lock system, running through the trigger guards, would have prevented any of the long rifles from walking away. A roll down garage door type concealing and securing, could have also been incorporated over the open display of long guns. All the handguns are taken from the glass displays and get put into a gun safe at night, along with the limited ammo on display.
