what state do you live in that they would say : "no emergent assistance for single, WHITE males, with no kids at home"" . if they said white you would be rich sir, after suing the state -- get an atty
I don't even know how he could have said that accidently. And Vermont has a high population of rural poor, just like the other northern New England states.
That's what has me stumped, as well. Bernie is just sadly WAY out of touch. Is he senile? Alzheimer's? How is he not aware of what's going on with the people in his own state?
Poor isn't fresh new clothes and sneakers every season and full bellies and energy drinks and new strollers and phone plans and mylar Tweety Bird balloons and flat brims and straight hair wigs. Inner city underemployed blacks are the last people who would know what poor means.
Ever notice on TV they never show poor white people?.. and there are plenty out there. I grew up poor , ate fried bologna for dinner because it was cheap and my parents both worked. My father had to take care of his parents who my grandfather worked very hard though his life and nothing was passed down as an inheritance.. My parents never owned a home .
I saw hard work and not much money . I worked in a sweat factory in the summers to earn necessities I needed for school. I made a dollar an hour. We didn't know what a family vacation was. It was a big deal to see the fireworks in a town a few miles from where we lived. Bernie , white people do know what poor is.
I also went to the projects (ghetto) in the early 70's and sold door to door to make a buck to the so called black ghetto people.. they lived good with custom drapes and beautiful furnishings. So don't tell me that blacks all have it bad in the ghettos..
many of us grew poor- and even lived poor early in adulthood- but there is no reason anyone else should be there today. Really- no reason- we waste and mis use money- where is the hooks and poles to teach to fish? education and opportunity?
Right. Cause Hillary, the trust fund baby, Trump ( who only got a tiny loan of a million dollars) from Dad to start his business, Bush, the oil baron , and the rest of them can relate to being middle to lower class.
Do your research. Don't get sold on a sound bite. Seriously. It's not you. It's the pre packaged bs from people that never ate a fried bologna sandwich or worried that people were going to judge their school clothes, AGAIN. Cause they came from hand me downs or K Mart.
