Actually the RNC never embraced Trump and have always hated him. The RNC is responsible in that it is a weak, dysfunctional organization. Same reason the the Tea Party got the traction it got. Voters who vote Republican aren't happy with the party so they're not endorsing one of the RNC-approved candidates. It's actually kind of fascinating how much of a disconnect there is between the RNC and Republican voters. It's not just Trump. It's major issues. As one example, look at TPP. The RNC historical has been for free trade while Democrats have been less supportive of it and more pro union. Right now, though, you have the divide. So you have some of the Republicans representing the mostly xenophobic and isolationist views of the constituents and others that are towing the pro big business, pro illegal alien party line.

Since it is not the fault of the WH moslem, it must be Bush's fault.

Of course people should blame Obama. After all, they learn this trick from him.

You are being kind. Republicans can't even take responsibility for their own vote. Obama doesn't fill out their ballot but they still blame him for Trump being the candidate they themselves voted for. And just imagine if Trump is elected. The country will wake up the next morning like a bad hangover and the field day will begin. A con-artist president with a soft porn wife in the White House, it will be like we have our own Silvio Berlusconi, courtesy of the GOP. He would be booted out in four years but the GOP will own him forever.

Shhhh, you're letting the cat out of the bag. Ds have been working for years now to perfect their mind control of R voters. We've almost got it perfected...

Personal responsibility means controlling yourself, not who you voted for.

Blame a lack of leadership in the GOP for the rise of Trump.

Exactly.

The Republican party openly embraced the crazies to try to win elections (quite successfully so outside of presidential elections, too). Now the crazies have taken over and they're in a panic, desperately looking for someone to blame. And who else would they blame but their favorite target, Barack Obama?

This problem is entirely their own creation and they need to figure out how to contain it before it completely destroys their party.

Peddling blind hatred and racism has consequences.
