A Message For Higher Ed From Mizzou's 1,500 Missing Students | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD

"They went elsewhere, because last year’s student riots showed three things:

1. That the university is loaded with academic zeros such as Associate Professor Melissa Click, a women’s studies “expert” with zero knowledge of journalism, indoctrinating students in radical leftism at Missouri’s famed journalism school and getting caught on camera attempting to stifle free speech. No dissent allowed, and don’t even think about free inquiry.

2. They also saw a wimpy establishment that permitted “Black Lives Matter” activists to pretty well take over the campus, hurl phony charges of racism at the school’s (leftist) establishment, and then see the university administrators cave to their demands like a bad souffle. In the wake of those protests, the university president was forced to resign, yet the demands of the radicals only grew louder.

3. Amid this, parents and students saw the same overpriced tuition, bloated administrative budgets, useless majors and inflated salaries that plague all universities.

So they voted with their feet, leaving one of the country’s once-great land-grant universities with a distinguished past academic history in the dust. If that’s not a warning to all universities to clean up their act, what is?"

Very succinct

Harvard, Brown, Claremont, Western Washington State, Oberlin ...... those are just off the top of my head.
are all going through the same "Snowflake, BlackLivesMatter, Thought Police, Safe Spaces, Social Justice Warrior" issues.

More will be defecting from these Dysfunctional Universities and their Hostage Takers.

It never once occurs in the mind of people like you that maybe people choose not to attend the university for the very reason student protesters pointed out ???

The fact that it wasnt just black students protesting or even black students who first sounded the alarm shows the flaw in your argument.

Cowardice can be costly. Will other university administrators learn anything from the University of Missouri administration's capitulation to campus radicals? These troublemakers may only cause havoc for the students and administrators if no one outside of sympathetic academia hears about their antics. When such extremism makes the national news there can be severe consequences....$32 million dollars and a loss of 1500+ students worth....from donors, state legislatures who approve the schools' budgets, potential attendees and alumni.

I guess the University is failing because it failed to teach only the dogma of the Right wing Christian male dominated neo confederates. That says more about the people of Missouri than the college.
