Whenever the talk of the minimum wage comes up, Republicans want to quote economics as a rationale for not moving the minimum wage. However they don't seem to want to accept general opinion from almost everyone on:

Immigration: Net small positive for Americans

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...t-immigration/

Free trade: More free trade is a good thing. Stop with the anti-China mercantilism.

Negative externalities: Pollution is a market failure. Even Milton friedman supported taxes to support the environment. He likely would have supported carbon taxes.

So why do Republicans go against immigration, trade & block pollution taxes?

Liberals - flood the US with unskilled, uneducated 3rd world labor that drives down free market wages for low skill labor - but call for higher minimum wage for those jobs. Yep, makes sense.

Virtually every thread that has a question like this one turns out to be a troll post. This one is no exception.

Why can't we have a rule against these "Why do (all) [insert group] [insert false stereotype or smear]?" threads?

You mean against illegal immigration? Everybody should be against illegal immigration. Why don't you? Which part of illegal do you not understand?

Minimum wage and free trade, wait, do we not want to keep jobs in America? How does increasing the labor cost, aka minimum wage, help to keep the jobs?

Free trade just makes outsourcing easier. Agains, do you not want to keep jobs in America?

I think your wrong. It's your Republican business owners who hire them so they can pay them below minimum wages. They wouldn't come here if they weren't given work! Use your head....

OK but liberals want to turn the illegals into citizens. What the hell is that about?
