It's interesting. Most of the economic policies of Obama were opposed by republicans because of "free market" principles.

Now Trump is the republican front runner who is promoting anti free market principles, aka protectionist.

Globalization is a parasitic, race-to-the-bottom mentality that slowly forces first world nations to equalize downward to that of third-world nation status through the arbitrage of ultra-low wage labor.

Globalization is simply capital's method to thwart labor. When defined solely within the status of nation states, labor eventually equalizes closer to that of capital.

We have to remember that productivity is the main source of supply; wages are the main source of demand. When supply rises faster than demand, the only way you can maintain the integral supply/demand balance is through the creation of new debt. Stagnet and declining wages simply drive down demand.

Every nation state needs Butchers, Bakers, and Candle-stick makers to sustain itself - ours are being slowly taken away.
