He went underwater in about 4 or 5 states since last month’s poll.

Trump has a negative net approval in 33 states worth 392 electoral votes. These include all of the Clinton states, plus all of the former Blue Wall states in the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes States. It even includes Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina and Utah. UTAH??

In 2 states Trump is even with the same positive and negative: Nebraska (?) and TEXAS (!!!).

Here's a sample of where he stands in key states:

Arizona= -8
Florida= -4
Georgia= -2
Iowa= -14
Kansas=+1
Maine= -11
Michigan= -15
Minnesota = -18
Missouri =-2
Nebraska= EVEN
Nevada= -13
New Hampshire = -19
North Carolina= -4
Ohio= -6
Pennsylvania = -10
Texas= EVEN
Utah= -6
Virginia= -10
Wisconsin= -16

This is not suggest that a D nominee in 2020 is going to carry all of those states, but it does indicate just how personally unpopular Trump is after 2 years in office.
Morning Consult State Surveys for January

Well duh. It is the month after December and people spent all their money and are blaming it on Trump. Or maybe it's his comb over that is offending people.

OR maybe it's just one more poll that is skewed to soothe the left's TDS. I've not been polled til yet. The left is in for more screeching come 2020 if they don't wake up.

Millions of Republicans, Democrats and Independents love, support and appreciate what Trump is doing and will vote for him in 2020.

LOL! And a Dem falls for the nonsense posted by some other Dem.
Read above. Rasmussen does no such thing.

Check for his approval / disapproval average across all polls.

Currently stands at:

55.3 % disapproval

40.1% approval.
As I said, in order to believe that you would have to believe that polls of adults count every bit as much as polls of likely voters.
And they don't.

Follow the RCP average for the most likely true number.

Small detail: Even the most pro Trump poll has more disapproving than approving. That is kind of like bragging you were the second last kid picked for the basketball game in gym class.
Or it could be just pointing out how a multi candidate democracy works. We might want to point out that both Clinton and W Wilson both served 2 terms and never got 50% of the vote.
It's kinda complicated.

Likely voters for some reason tend to be Republican...

Don't worry, I'm only using it to illuminate the truth.

Though it would appear, that the truth might burn the dems. To the ground.

Shrug, americans are fickle. For once, they said, he sounded presidential so he MUST be doing a good job!
Lol, those people aren’t very bright.

No, that’s just not true. Trump's 40% consists almost entirely of hard core Republicans and white identity voters. The majority of independents loathe him.

It doesn't stop Trump supporters from posting polls that benefit their agenda then disregarding polls that strike down their rhetoric. If it's true that this poll uses landlines, how is the poll even relevant when more than half of America do not have landlines? it's not relevant at all. I use Gallup and Pew polls along with other facts as a starting point.
