they screw the fisheries now by not pursuing netters close in that sccop up game fish and dump them by the thousands as colateral damage. then they keep raising the size and daily catch limit for sport fishermen.
the cost financial effort for the state to pursue, charge and fine the offenders is more than what is recovered. It is almost as if trawlers pay the fine to scrape the bottom and kill our fish.
50 miles offshore is a long way and would contribute to our energy independence without bankrupting the state and country. the wells would provide structure for fishermen and help the fisheries.
Obama is at war with the economy and wants to kep us enslaved to the middle east oil.

exploration company making a big profit off their
energy needs while hurting the environment ?
How did these corporations somehow convince you
that you are sharing in their benefits ?

Meanwhile, domestic shale reserves were over-fracked,
and wells are sitting closed because of lack of demand.
That means that we lease oil fields to oil companies and they then sell it to entities outside the USA.
If I were president, I would shut down that excessive drilling too.
