Well then, you should not care if the Senate waits until the new President is sworn in, right? After all, you could potentially get a far more liberal judge so why oppose the Senate's actions?
I don't know, some people like to see our elected officials do their job an have a functioning government regardless of what happens next year.
Republican Senators and Congressmen should not be allowed to vote on anything until after they are re-elected in November - it's not fair to have lame-duck Senators voting on important issues.
