If some maniac kills 10 people, they deserve the death penalty. Under more unique instances where there isn't enough evidence of a crime, then I am against it. Overall, I think the severity of the crime needs to be heavily examined and critiqued for a large amount of time before someone is put on death row.

As for guns, I am 100% 2nd amendment. If someone's darting at me with a knife, and I have a gun and a phone to call the police (which would take possibly up to an hour for them to arrive), which would help me better?

I believe in the death penalty, but under careful and limited circumstances.

I believe in gun ownership, but in extensive background checks and banning assault weapons as they serve no purpose. Aside from that, guns are fine.
"and banning assault weapons"

REAL assault weapons have been very hard and expensive to get for YEARS.

The problem, and you have fallen for it , is that the so called '"assault weapons" you are referring to are NOT "ASSAULT WEPONS" at all.

People are entitled to their own opinions and I respect that but, they should at least KNOW something about the subject BEFORE they state what they are for and against.

If in the act of committing a crime you cause the death of ANYONE, you should forfeit yours.

Many other countries have lower crime rates BECAUSE they DO PUNISH MORE SEVERELY and doing so serves as agreat deterrent for committing crimes.

Our system is MUCH easier on the criminal and does NOT serve as deterrent to commit crime.

Change the appeal process so it does NOT take YEARS for execution.

anyone should be able to purchase a gun, knife, hammer, car etc. without a govt. permission slip.
Should that same govt. determine who lives or dies? No way. Govt. is far to incompetent and staffed with persons who will act on unethical motivations outside of their own laws.
