Islam is NOT PRIMARILY a religion. First and foremost it is a political system that promotes violence, oppression and conquest. The "religion" was a fairy tail created by it's founder to both justify his own sick, vile acts and to attract those inclined to commit those same acts. When you tell people to murder, to rape women and children, to destroy those that aren't part of your gang, this is exactly what a reasonable person would expect. And when the founder promotes rape, pedophillia and murder, it should tell you enough about the little club.
There is no shortage of rape and murder in the various books of the bible.

In the times of Muhammed and before, girls were property and used for trade by their fathers. it was quite common for fathers to arrange for young daughters to marry old goats and such marriages were typically consummated at puberty.
While no one knows the exact age of the Virgin Mary at the time of her arranged marriage to Joseph, an older man, seems most scholars pinpoint her age to be 10-13, common for the times. Early arranged marriages remain common in tribal cultures throughout the world and most certainly are not limited to Muslims.
Fast forward a few thousand years, the colony of Delaware decided that age 7 was an appropriate age of consent for a girl. Apparently it made sense to the fine Christian men of that time.
Merkel in particular will indeed have European blood on her hands because of her open-door policy that she forced on the EU, and which of course was mere egoism because her country is aging fast and needs immigrants. But when not even invited Indians want to come, they have to settle for Muslim refugees.
The UN is also to blame. It is a toothless tiger. The UN should have its own powerful military enforcing the will of its global membership. That way the UN could simply have seized a part of Syria and settled all refugees right there until the war is over. And get rid of the Security Council, no more vetoing for national interests, a 2/3 majority is enough to act.

It's just another fine demonstration of smug, self-congratulatory response from bleeding heart progressives who believe that false platitudes like FB avatar overlays and a couple days of Internet arguments in defense of Muslim people are more valuable and righteous than plain open discussion about what occurred, how it leaves us feeling, and what we think should be done about it. What ISIS and Islamo terrorists want in general are two very different things. ISIS is fighting for a caliphate run by Sharia law.

Up until just he 20th century one of the world's largest Islamic Empire (the Ottomans) subjugated, controlled, raped and colonized a large swath of Eastern Europe!!!! The same Turks who now want to be part of the EU committed mass genocide of Christian Armenians! And we wonder why today eastern Europe refuses to let in "migrants" from the middle east! For hundreds of years waves of successive Islamic invasions from the Middle East and Africa have both failed to conquer some places in Europe (Asutria at the gates of Vienna) and succeeded in others (Spain).

Western governments should read that because judging from their behavior I doubt they know who they are dealing with, and how.
Basically what it would take is an old-fashioned war, which however is not really an option for the West. We are trying to appease a shark with candy
